By default, Microsoft Edge uses Bing as its default search engine. But, if you prefer to search on Google, you can easily switch to it. This tutorial shows how to set Google as the default search engine in Microsoft Edge browser.
For Windows 10
Step 1: Launch Edge browser in Windows 10, and visit to Google.com in the browser.
Step 2: Click the more options button in the top left, and go to Settings > Advanced > Change search provider.
Step 3: Click on ‘Google’ to select it. Then click, Add as default.
Once you’ve completed the steps, all the search results in Edge will appear using Google’s search engine instead of Bing.
Note: The above option only applies to searches within Microsoft Edge. Cortana and other Windows 10 apps will still use Bing to search the web.
Step 1: Open Microsoft Edge and tap the three-dotted menu button at the bottom right corner.
Step 2: Go to Settings > Default search engine. Select ‘Google’ from the list of available search engines.
